Types of shot blasting process

Shot blasting is, unlike sandblasting, not used to remove rust, paint or anything from the surface. Shot blasting process has different used and a lot more options.

Roughly we could say we know quite few shot blasting process but most commonly we are using only five of them. Most commonly known is sandblasting which is used to remove more or less anything from the surface. Other shot blasting process uses garnet. This process is being used mainly for preparing metal to be later on coated again. Iron is used in same process as garnet and is basically the same apart using other media, we can even use same shot blaster. Then we knwo tow more shot blasting process which use softer media, like olivine and glass beads. These shot blasting process are mainly used for decorative purposes and polishing the surface.
