Media blasters
Shot blaster and media blasters are special machines that are used to remove the dirt, rust, debris, paint and stubborn grime from the surface of objects like concert, metal, glass, wood and floor.
Mechanisms of both of the blasters are different. Media blasters use compressed air prepared from abrasives like nut shells, iron fillings, textured sand and silica particles. Air used to create pressure and force the stains away from the objects. While, vacuum with media blasters use to recycle the abrasive materials used for cleaning. It has nozzles that are used to blow the air with pressure over the affected area. The object that are cleaned with media blasters are then painted and coated by other methods.
If the affected area is quite large, then media blasters use water jets for creating the compressed air. It reduces the amount of dust and is cost effective solution for removing the stains from larger areas.

Media blasters come in portable models and full collection with complementing accessories. Additionally, many companies offer to make the custom made media blaster equipments. They are used by auto body repair, engineering workshop, vehicle manufacturers and other industry.
Shot blaster mechanism is quite different from media blasters. Shot blasting machine has a large air gun with spinning peddles, to shot the abrasives with high pressure, over the affected area. During cleaning process, the object is placed over the rotating conveyor which turns the object and air gun release the shots over the rotating conveyor. This ensures that each part of object is cleaned properly.

Shot blasting machine uses abrasives like dry silica sand, baking soda, small balls of steel, chilled iron, glass beads, olivine and dried and washed river sand for blasting the grease, rust, graffiti, stains, old paints and other contaminants from the surface of metal, concrete and wood. It uses the mixture of sand and water and releases it over the affected area with high pressure. Shot blasting is effective way to remove the dirt from the mild steel, cast iron radiators, garden, brickwork stone, furniture, vehicles, plant machinery, wood flooring, roof beams and swimming pools.
Both blasters use different abrasives to clean the surface of the objects. But, both of them have effective results. Mostly companies buy media blasters for performing their cleaning job. They also train their employees for handling the equipments and ensuring the overall safety of the company and employees.
